Are Broody hens better with young pullets?

I currently have 8 week old pullets that are now in a separate area where they can see my 2 year old hens. My question is will a broody hen except young pullets better than a none broody hen? I have a Buff Orpington that almost goes broody once a month and curious if she would take to them faster because she is broody. Already asked this in the Facebook group with no response, thought I’d try again.

I would think that broody hens would be less accepting of 'strangers' because of their hormonal state.

That's right. Unless they're newborn or very young, a broody hen will almost always be defensive to them, usually resulting in a lot of fights.

I agree with @sourland I have 2 cochins that go broody every month and they are always more aggressive. I currently have pullets now and she recently went broody. She was chasing them everywhere before she went in the broody breaker.

Thanks everyone, your replies are very helpful. My broody girl is just the sweetest most gentle thing even when broody so I was curious but this answers my question.
