Hello, I need help figuring out what is wrong with my americana hen . She gets In the nest box and sits their for a long time. When she gets out of the nest box I go check If she laid a egg. But their is nothing in it . I need help finding out what Is Is wrong with her. please help me .

Depending upon the strain they can become broody. It sounds as if she is getting ready to start laying.
