Are buff coloured Sussex's recognised as proper Sussex's?

I have a buff Sussex rooster and two hens. There is a local poultry show comming up in May I am thinking about entering then into it, however there is only a 'Sussex' catergory. Are buff (orange) sussex's still recognised as proper Sussexs, or are only the white and black sussexs proper Sussex's?

Has anyone owned or have any photos of a winning Sussex hen or rooster?
This is my first competition and this is all new so I am wondering what I need to look out for?
What makes a winning Sussex?
