Are buff orps really this big? (pics)

he is certainly huge compared to the other chickens... are they standard-sized or bantam birds? Do you have a picture of him next to a human or something else for good size comparison? He's very pretty, thanks for sharing

Actually, you got a REAL Buff Orpington...Its funny when so many folks get Hatchery stock and get their yard birds, they're cute but technically itty bitty, in their flocks, they think they have good "Buff Orpingtons" then you go to the shows and see the real thing - WHOA! Yup, they are HUGE! He is a fine bird!

I cant resist trying to get a couple of Buff Orpingtons to grow at my house, and Pick up a couple at the feedstore...always to be disappointed....and give them away...no bigger than a standard laying hen...poo.

My BO roo Stumpy is huge, too, he towers over all my hens, they're all heavy breeds (he also treads all of their feathers off when he's showering them with his 'affection').
