We breed show quality chickens, and more specifically Orpington’s. One of the colours we have is white Orpington’s in which we had to import the eggs for them from Victoria as all the Orpington’s that are bred nearby are buff and or 3 hours away! And after over 2 years and $100 spent on a nice white orp hen (who ended up being the daughter of one of the white Roos we sold as we hatched 3 in the first lot) as the other one was laying but never fertile due to the boys bickering. One day the hen we bought who we named marshmellow went clucky in which we put all the white Orpington eggs we had gotten recently from that yard under her
And two days ago around 5PM we finally got a baby!!
We have named the buba Fifi and they absolutely have an attitude!
I am so overjoyed at finally getting a baby! And we ended up putting the muma and buba into the baby brooder tub to ensure the baby grows up well and isn’t stolen by crows!
