Are chickens allowed the Hamilton Ohio

Hello,

I’ve been trying to do my research on backyard chickens before I buy a forever home but I need to know if the city of Hamilton Ohio allows chickens I live like 5 minutes away from downtown Hamilton and I just want to be well informed before I buy a home here or should I look else where please help

Nooo do you recommend areas around Hamilton that are allowed

I believe you can have them if you're in the rural areas outside of town. I think it's the same for all the little towns in that area.

You really need to contact the city hall or if they have up to date ordinances posted online, look at zoning regarding animals and if there's not a blanket ban on poultry, look at zoning for land use, additional structures to see if it'd be legal or feasible on your lot.

Don't "guess" if it's legal or not, in my area the zoning can affect each house within a single neighborhood differently. One household might be able to have thousands of chickens while another only 3.
