Are chickens/chick like ducks

In ducks when you raise them alone they would love you alot is that same for chickens
Do chickens need to have other chickens to be happiest at a time like a duck?

Well, I'm new to chickens but I can tell you that whenever one of my chicks wanders off and loses sight of his/her peeps he/she freaks out and runs right back to them. And this morning my chicks escaped, with the exception of one who was VERY distraught over not having her/his buddies. Thankfully, we found the other 4 and life is good again! That's just my very short experience with what you were wondering, so hopefully someone with more experience will weigh in as well.

they should all have companions. ducks should be paired up. not alone. chickens will not be happy my themselves. if your going to get "A chicken" id just get two. heck youll end up with 3,4,100
