Just curious..... hadn't really thought about it till now, but should I expect some of them to start crowing before 8 weeks?

No you will be fine... you might get a screech but not a crow. Nothing to worry about though.

Thank goodness! It hadn't occured to me till today, we've already ordered and I was about to

when I thought of it....

Whatever noise you do get before 8 weeks will sound pitiful and sick - once you realize it was a roo attempting to crow, you will start laughing quite heartily - it's very amusing once you realize what the noise is.

I've never heard a crow or anything that would be considered loud enough to be irritating. That being said, they do make a bit of noise, but mostly purring and excited noises when they see you bringing food!
