Are cortunix quail very loud?

Mine are not normally loud, but I have heard some of the males' crows when I am standing at the end of the driveway waiting for my son's school bus. The end of the driveway is about 1/4 mile away. I think it's only 1 or 2 that are that loud, and they don't crow too often. But I can still hear them at that distance.

Most people it would take them a year to figure out what the noise even was. I would just raise them until they said something.

Most people just talk about you behind your back anyways & would never approach you.

I find them to be a very quiet breed, the males arn't loud at all. they are very easy to keep and not loud.

ok so ive heard there loud and and some have said there quiet.ill wait till the males start crowing and butcher the loudest ones.How does that sound?

Sounds like a plan! LOL! I will say my jumbo browns are MUCH louder than my tuxedos and ranges. Kristi

Males alone do crow more and louder. It doesn't bother me at all. A friend of mine ended up with only 2 males after a coon got all his females. He said they crowed constantly and got pretty loud, to the point he felt like he was going to throw up when he was around them. I think it was gurgling sound that was getting to him.
