Are ducks afraid of dogs?

My birds are not afraid of our dogs but I want them to be afraid of other dogs that may come around. A good healthy fear.

Dogs definitely need training or a real threat to Duck. My Ducks are not scared of my Dogs..

My dog likes to run right past my ducks to spook them for fun, but she has never harmed them. My dog was raised with my first three ducks, and she watched all later ducks grow up from day one. So it seems as long as they're familiar with each other it will be fine.

As for wild dogs, one of my neighbors keeps their dog in a pretty restricted area outside so it constantly barks. My ducks don't care about the barking becuase they're used to it and know that dog can't possibly get to them. However if a stranger dog would enter my property, they would understandably be afraid and retreat to their pond for safety.

Mine are scared of unknown dogs, but have a healthy respect for my own dogs. My dogs are not allowed with the ducks unsupervised, but everyone can coexist peacefully outside together when I'm with them.
