Are ducks easy to incubate

The crest is actually a deformity and can cause the duckling to die in the shell before hatching, so be prepared for that if you choose to incubate them.

I've only incubated button quail and ducks but have found them fairly easy. The hardest part is the waiting as they take so long to hatch!
oh really I didn’t know that thanks I think I will stick with Peckin because it’s my first time and I don’t wanna risk it

I would think about where you are going to get your eggs from first before totally setting your mind on a breed. If you can find local eggs then they would be better than ones that need to be mailed to you, but that might mean being open to other types. Luckily pekins a quite popular so your chances are good.

Having said that, pekin is more of a meat breed. You asked about eggs, is that something that interests you? there are some really good egg layer out there too such as the khaki campbell. Then there are heavy (pekin), medium, light, bantam, and call ducks (harder to incubate)! if you have the space then that's fine, if you are limited then a smaller breed might be better suited.
