Hi everyone, I recently picked up some salmon colored faverolle from my local feed store. I never raised this breed before and I was wondering how good their egg production is. I quickly researched and saw it ranges from 180-240 eggs a year. How was everyone's experience of owning faverolle? Is their a breed of chicken that are similar to them in your opinion?

Thanks, I have no idea about this breed and some input would be nice. :)

I'm sorry to hear! They are beautiful birds so at least she serves as eye candy in yard?

yes

Mine are 6 months old and haven’t started yet but hopefully when the days draw out a bit they will start 😊 they are lovely birds and have great characters.

I have two SF hens, and they are average layers.

But, as mentioned, they are lovely birds and mine are extremely personable. They share a coop with a BLRW and a Buff Orp, and while the Orp is the coop queen, the Faverolles are definitely the conversationalists. Camille and Celeste talk to me all the time -- usually to tell me they'd like more water, more feed, more treats and/or to alert me that they want to lay eggs in one of the other coops, and the girls there aren't willing to move.

I am a big Faverolle fan!
