I have one golden buff from Meyers. I wondered if they are the same as the Golden Comets. Do they lay good like everyone is saying the Golden Comets do. She is really pretty and very friendly.

I would like to know the mix that they are too. She is more one color than the Golden Comets so I am thinking the cross is different.

After I have looked around a little more and one Meyer I wonder if she is a Golden Buff. She has black coming on her tail.

Here are my two Golden Comets. Goldie in foreground and Ruby in the background. They so far don't have any black in their tail feathers. Hope it helps.

I got 4 Golden Buffs from Meyer last year and they are by far my favorites!
They lay HUGE brown eggs -- practically once a day -- and they're so sweet and have such great personalities.
Plus, not one of them has gone broody (unlike 4 of the 5 Australorps that I got at the same time).

Your picture doesn't really look like my Golden Buffs.
BearSwampChick's 2 Golden Comets look more like my Golden Buffs.
(My Golden Buffs have no black feathers.)

I am amazed how they change so fast. I am thinking now she is a New Hamshire. She seems to be getting redder every day.

Thanks so much for your answers. It really helps to have someone to talk to about this.
