With time on my hands, i was contemplating if hens are self sufficient! well they lay eggs, which is food! could a hen produce her own food? something we can not do? I know that she would have to forage, but in theory could she produce half her food each day. Now I'm not looking to put my hens through this, but was just thinking! any views???
