Are herbs okay as treats?

So some of my herbs bolted on me. I just cut all the woody stems (with the leaves) and gave them to the chickens (I joked with my daughter that I was marinating them from the inside.... she wasn't thrilled...LOL). Then I noticed that there was no mention of herbs on the treat chart. Are they okay to give to chickens?

Some herbs don't get super bitter wren they bolt like lettuce does. Cilantro does I know, parsley may, not sure. All the perennials areok tho.

Just a thought.

Sure they can eat them. I would avoid to much quanity of strong flavored hearbs in fear of funny tasting eggs. I'd save the trouble and toss the whole things in, stem, roots and all. Mine love spinach that bolted and radish tops, specially the flowers. They fight over them. Lol

I feed stuff to the chickens, some things they eat, some things they don't. They won't eat fennel or rosemary. I don't know why, but I don't give it to them any longer.
