Are hybrids slower to lay eggs?

Hello: We have 13 Ameraucana chickens (2 roosters, 11 hens) we bought about five months ago. No eggs so far. I've been feeding egg layer and some scratch and they have plenty of yummy grubs and insects and weeds to munch on all day. I have looked around for hidden eggs--no dice. They do range kind of far away from their coop, and I don't think I can search all their haunts. I put some marble fake eggs in their nests, but the idea doesn't seem to have dawned on them. Any tips?

First of all, how old are they? Secondly, if they are of laying age and free range large distances, GOOD LUCK finding their stash!!! I have heard so many stories of people finding 15, 20 eggs a month later. Keep searching!
