i want to add a big run to the hen house, but there is a large 30' cedar tree (maybe juniper) right where the run will go. i don't want to cut the tree down, but i am concerned that the berries that drop may harm the chicken and if so, the run will not get built

i know i've read on here to no use cedar shavings for chicks because it will kill them.

    appreciate your help
