I set 12 eggs 8 were fertile 3 hatched but 5 were fully formed pipped internal air cell but died in the egg. Are they harder to hatch than chicks? Just wondering if I did something wrong

Guinea keets are very easy to hatch. I agree, check your temp. and they need a higher humidity in the last 3 days. The shell of a Guinea egg is 3 times harder than a chicken egg so they need a higher humidity to soften the shell for hatching. I hatched over 200 last season out of my hens and I had a 95% hatch rate. They are absolutely amazing to see right after hatch. They're crazy little devils and prob. my fav. to hatch.

75% throughout incubation or just at the end? They may have drowned.

The last 3 days it was around 40% throughout incubation

That's still pretty high...even for just the last 3 days. It varies with everyone's location, but I try not to go into the last 3 days any higher than 60%.....65% tops. It's going to go up naturally once they start hatching.
