Hi.
I just learned from a Holleread duck book I ordered that not all Khaki Campbells are good layers as some are classified as "standard", an indication they are not true to the original high egg-laying stock developed in England.
We want ours for their egg-laying abilities. I have six straight-runs from Ideal via Tractor Supply (I think they are Khakis). I planned to order a large number of pullets from Ideal but would rather hear from some satisfied Khaki customers here that theirs are indeed the egg-layers they should be, i.e. around 300 eggs per year?
Or can someone recommend a source they have used and swear by for Khakis?
Thanks.
Connie
