My two drakes sound like frogs and they constantly make noise when they are with me like they are telling me something. They all quack loudly when I come out all excited then as I sit out there the girls stop and the boys just quack at everything . Today waffles laid down close by me and quietly quacked incessantly. I want to understand them better

As teenagers the drakes are usually very quiet and rarely peep, opposite to the teenage ducks which are squatting and chatting permanently. Once they found their mature voice it is vice versa: The drakes rasp until they become hoarse and the girls are quiet unless something/one agitates them.
