Are mine free range?Organic?

This is covered under the rules. Any organic animal must be on certified organic pasture as well. So any bugs they are eating would not have pesticide or herbicide residues on them for the bird to consume.

Your pasture certification is the first step towards overall farm certification.

Chickens do not have to be from organic stock like other animals. they only need to be organic from their first day of life onward. For other animals, they must come from certified organic stock for at least the last two trimesters

I tell people my eggs are "Fresh Yard Eggs."
I have seven people that buy eggs from men.
(It is a hobby and it helps pay for the feed.)
While they have the option of purchasing Organic eggs from the health food store, they decided my Fresh Yard Eggs are worth the $2.50 a dozen.
Just for the record....The seven people that buy my eggs found out that I have chickens at the "Feed and seed store." They grow fruits and vegetables.

"Fresh Yard Eggs" would be the best way to describe it.

good luck with your flock

Tee-hee, I know this is a typo, but it made me laugh.

I've noticed folks calling their produce and eggs "noncertified organic" to get around the mess of getting certified. Seems to work around here and folks just see the "organic" part of it and buy it all right up! Actually, out here in the hills you can put up a sign with the words "Fresh eggs for sale" scrawled on a piece of cardboard and folks will keep you sold out!!
