Are Mirrors Bad?

A friend found two ducklings on her drive, they put them in a box. Sadly one died.

They couldn't find anywhere as no where was taking it so my girlfriend decided to take it in. We have it in a box with straw and a towel in. Went and brought some duckling food and given it water. But I know ducklings are best when they're with their own kind and as it was with one but died is this duckling going to die of loneliness ? Would it be best to put in a mirror or would this be bad idea?

Also not sure how old it is, will it eat on its own?

A pic would be best for figuring out age but I think it probably needs heat as well. They eat on their own right away, though you may have to poke its beak into the food so it can figure out that that stuff is edible. a mirror is good, as well as a fluffy stuffed animal to cuddle with. click around and read, there are several good threads here to help you learn how to care for it.
