So I have a silkie and an ameraucana who have fighting a bit. They are about 6 weeks old and despite this behavior, their behavior has lead us toward them being pullets. We have three other silkies and none of them ever exhibit this kind of behavior. I just want to know so we can prepare for roosters if necessary. I'll take some pics to post. (BTW this is our first flock) this picture is of Peggy

How old are they? Silkies are one of the most difficult breeds to sex before 4-5 mos. of age. Sometimes not till they lay or crow. Love the color on the first one.

They don't appear to be obvious cockerels, but Silkies are often harder to sex until they're 5-6 months old (or older).

Thanks everybody for the help! I'll look out for any other signs that may determine their sex. I'm happy that other chicken lovers like myself can help each other on this website no matter their age, seeing as though I'm only 13. Thanks again y'all!
