Are my Chickens just fussy

Try making mama hen little clucking sounds when you offer something different. Under natural circumstances their mother would be teaching them what is good to eat. Also, you might try setting it on the ground and tapping it lightly with your finger while clucking to them.

The fact that they prefer the poultry ration and are eating it with gusto is a good thing.  They don't "need" all the extra stuff.   Just be tankful you aren't having the opposite problem and let them continue eating the balanced feed they need.

This is very true,I just wanted something to train them with but now I've got them eating live meal worm from my hand, so now they follow me everywhere and seem to want to try any thing from my hand ( also trying to eat my fingers), in only a few short days they have become easier to round up and not run havoc around me, I love how quickly they learn,

It took a long time for mine to eat anything but their feed. Now they eat anything I put in the run. All it takes is one bird to try it and then they all have to have it. Just start with one treat and keep at it until they look forward to it, then try sometime else. My young ones take the corn and now I introduced grain with the corn.

mine eat any fruits or veggies except apples...they wont touch them. I also grow meal worms for them but they only get a handful of beetles and mealies a week as a treat because the mealie farm is so young.....red worm farm did not do so good outside...I think it was too warm
