Problem with my chicks. Poop sometimes reddish, sometimes not. Some seems to have colds. There is mucus just every morning.
There is one that has his eye shut (yes just one eye). I suspected Coryza but I never smell foul odor from him. This one do not even have colds and the shut eye is not even teary. All of them have avian pox right now, I wonder if that's just the case for his eye.
The other one has just died but never seen any symptoms from him, only that he was weak and wouldn't want to eat. He had a watery poop with white and green colloids. I don't see anything unusual with their faces except some having the avian pox.
Im not sure if the other one has a wet pox or coryza, as I tried to feed him with anti-pox tablet, I have seen that he has a yellowish ulcer-like spots on his inner beak. (just one chick)
Before these things happened, I did preventive measures by providing them sulfa powder and electrogen-D+ with dextrose and probiotics.
I also discovered recently that the cage where I put them (which is a bird cage) have a cadaver of a love bird inside the wooded room (yes room inside a cage) but my chicks never entered therein. They stayed there for two weeks. If Im not mistaken, the love bird has been dead for a month.
They seem to have mites and lice as well cause I feel itchy everytime I get near them (lol). I wonder if I am just being paranoid with all bird illnesses. I am a little frustrated as I lost the only golden chick on that batch.
By the way, they are all 2 months old. Currently, Im giving them vetracin antibiotic+vits, anti-pox, and sulfa powder with amprolium.
