Hi I currently have 3 white Campbell ducklings, they are 4 weeks old.
Iv been off work for a few month and am due to start back part time next week. Would they be to young to start spending the day in there run outside just while I’m at work (3days) then back inside of a night? They are getting pretty big now and I wouldn’t like it for them to be stuck in a cage all day inside. I live in the uk so we wether isn’t to warm but they have been spending most days outside a few time’s a day. Also I got these when they were 5 days old and the guy hadn’t given them a lamp at since they were born although there were a lot of them to keep each other warm, they didn’t really care much for the lamp when I got them home so just kept it on them at night but never really seen them under it so they no longer have it, I wondered wether this would factor in wether they would be ok out there.

Do you have a covered pen big enough for them, separate from any other animals/birds? :) And what time would you be returning? Before dusk/dark?
Yes they will have there own pen outside, the entire thing isn’t covered but I was thinking of putting there sheltered cage inside it for them to go into if they get a bit cold. Yes they would be in before dark only 1 night would be late about 8 buy my partner gets home about 5 so he could let them back into the house, would be between about 8-5 I just worry it’s to long for them to be out and don’t want them getting to cold or ill

Your ducks can handle staying out overnight, they are four weeks old plus they've been hardened already by exposure to chilly temperatures. The only concern is them staying wet, and predators of course.
