my fiance and I bought these ducklings from tractor supply yesterday and I'm worried that they night have sprawled feet or a niacin deficiency. There legs sprawl out behind them sometimes and they sit on then curled up quite a bit. I know online it says to put bedding or a towel under them to prevent sprawling issues so I'll definitely be doing that but I'm wondering if they need to be treated.

we're currently giving them hydro hen and purina duck pellets. the hydro hen doesn't have any niacin in it but the duck pellets have 27.22 mg/ib and it's a 5 pound bag. Do they need brewers yeast? Little splint like devices for sprawled legs? Or are they perfectly fine little ducklings?
Its my first time owning any kind of bird and I love them very much. I like to sit down and spend time with them. They're very cute and maybe I'm worrying for no reason I just don't know a lot about ducks and most answers I've found on this site so I definitely wanted to join!

try and giving them duck feed and a chick starter mix together.

Curious as to why?

In the video, and pictures, they appear to be moving normally; the leg stretching is simply them stretching their legs. A niacin deficiency rarely occurs at their age, but from what I can see they are Pekins, and often require more niacin available in duck feeds. Because of that, you may consider supplementing niacin in their diet using nutritional yeast, or niacin capsules. It may be best if you switch over to a crumble feed, or crush the pellets you have now as that can be difficult for them to get down.

I figured babies needed more protein in their diet than adults
