Are my ee's really just mixed breeds?

I bought four chicks at a swap. I had asked if anyone was selling ee chicks. The gentleman said that he had "mixed" chicks and that all of them were hatched from blue eggs. Of the four two have yellow legs. One has greenish legs and the other kinda pinkish legs. One chick has five toes and a puff on her head. They certainly have the ee coloring that I see on here. So my question, are they just "mutts" or are they ees.

What I really want is the colored eggs.

From what I understand (and there will probably be some who disagree, which is cool

) Easter Eggers are a mixed breed chicken who carry the blue egg laying gene. They are not any particular color, but often have a pea comb, may have muffs and a beard, and willow or slate legs. They may or may not lay blue, green, 'pink', or any other colored egg.
That being said, I LOVE my Easter Eggers.

ee's ARE mutts/mixed. Usually ameraucana/araucaua mixed with something else. If they lay a blue/green/pink egg that usually makes them an ee. Ee's don't can be any color/mix of colors. The most common leg color is green but not always.

And, I've learned from the Ameraucana purists that even if you breed two Ameraucanas of different colors, that offspring is not considered an Ameraucana unless it is a standard color, i.e. if you breed a white Ameraucana with a black Ameraucana and the babies come out part white, part black, that is not an Ameraucana, but an Easter Egger.

You won't know if yours are EEs until they start laying, but I agree with you that they appear to have the coloring in that photo.

Ok, I may be shot, but here goes. It appears that you have half EE's. Apparently different roos over EE hens and to ME, that means they are EE mixes, not actual EE's. I know there's no 'standard' for EE's but the vast majority have very familiar traits. So, I highly doubt you'll get any blue eggs but you may very well get a lot of greenish and some brownish or even pink-tinted depending on the roo's.
