I had 2 rabbits one male one female. There have been 3 groups of baby rabbits in about one year. The last time we didn't even know the famale was pregnant, by my count she got pregnant the same day she gave birth. Well the first time about 6 from 10 survived, the second time 3 and the third time 2. The male is all white and the female is white with a black streak. We get about half with streak half all white and one complete brownish black, always. The black has survived only once. Well i got tons of rabbits with messed up legs and underbites. Does this mean the original rabbit are like brothers or something like that? Are these rabbits good to eat? I wll take pictures later.

First of all, it sounds like you keep the male and female in the same pen. Not a good idea. And if you are getting underbites etc. you need some new breeding stock. There is no reason not to eat the defective rabbits.

I agree. Back to back breedings does wear down the doe and she will have smaller, less thrifty litters. Seperate the buck and doe after breeding and give her a few weeks between litters. It's really hard on them.

Yes, they definately can get pregnant immediately after giving birth. Crazy, huh?

Deformed rabbits taste great!

Although, if this keeps happening, there may be some incompatibility between your doe and buck. Sometimes leg and teeth problems could be from accidents, too. I've had a rabbit pull his teeth on the cage wire and develop the underbite. I've also seen the babies get their legs caught in wire, they get scared and pull themselves free, sometimes breaking bones. Make sure the cage is safe and secure to keep these accidents from happening.
