Are oak shavings OK for coop bedding?

Hi! So I have a whole bunch of oak shavings... Is it OK to use them in the coop for bedding? They don't have an paint/stain... I know pine is OK, but I don't know about oak... they're pretty dry for the most part too, so I'm not worried about mold or anything like that. Thanks

Oak would be fine. Cedar is one to avoid.
