I have 11 chicks, each a different breed. My Olive Egger, which I believe to be a cross between an Ameracuana and Marans (gray coloring with beard) has been the slowest to feather. It still doesn't have any tail feathers or feathers where the wing meets the body and the other chicks do. They were 1 week old Monday.

Is this breed slow to mature or is it indicative of something else?

I have the same thing happening--nine chicks and the olive egger is way behind the others, in size as well as feather development. I ordered all females for the same reason. Hope it's not, for either of us!

Praying ours both turn out to be female!

Here's a few pictures of my Olive Egger...

What was the turn out?! Same thing is happening with my 9 chicks and one is an olive egger that looks just like yours. 😅
