Are people without pets weird?

I've probably eaten more pug hairs than I care to think about, so you won't get any complaints from me! I agree about being healthier and more active with pets. It's one of the things I miss most.

Now that I really think about it, I'm 100% weirder WITH pets. Case in point...

Well, one time we got into an argument with guests over which of my four chickens would be which member of Fleetwood Mac.

I'm sorry, but Pepper was clearly Lindsey Buckingham.

I leave it on vibrate all the time. If I need to pay attention to it my watch will tell me.

I like not having my phone on me when I'm in the yard.

It use to because I was running a lawnmower/weedeater and couldn't hear it anyway or didn't want to drop it while wearing gloves etc.

Now it's because I enjoy hanging out with the chickens without distractions. It's my "me time" and the rest of the world can wait.

I know! Most friends and family that have chickens, I recommend this website to them...they just don't seem to care. I tell them how great and helpful everyone is! Maybe someday they'll join

If they are allergic to animals or have toddlers, that's one thing. But animals teach people responsibility and generally make people better. So on that front, everyone who can, should have a pet.

I have friends that have had chickens longer than me and they ask me questions all the time. I've told them about this site repeatedly, but they rather just ask me I Don't get it.

What's not to get? They're lazy and want you to do the research. Tell them to go on BYC and look it up.
