Are quail roosters/hens loud?

I am debating on keeping a lot of male quails because I heard that they are loud. Is the true?

No, I have raised a bunch their crow is quiet.

No, it sounds like a wild bird, not really noticeable to anyone in the next yard.

They can be loud, but not nearly as loud as chicken roosters. They can be quite vicious, though, so you can only keep one roo to three to five hens, and no more than one roo per pen (unless you have a large pen and the roos have the right personality).

They might start crowing before all the wild birds in the neighborhood wake up, so the noise can stand out. My neighbors have definitely heard them. As far as volume they aren't any louder than a hawk.

They will probably be curious what the new birds are in town . But it’s morning like a chickens crow. They will think it’s just some local songbird. I doubt they will really hear it though.

And the hens sound like very quite crickets
