Are raw oak logs safe to use in a chicken coop?

Hello everyone,
I am building a ¨log cabin¨ chicken coop. Where I live there are acres of forested land. I am currently using pine, but I would also like to include oak in the build. Is the wood safe to use around chickens?

As far as I am aware, the only problem wood is cedar -- because of the aromatic oils are a respiratory irritant.

I have used and will continue to use scrub oak for perches and run furniture and no one has come to any harm from it.

I accidentally misidentified the kind of wood that am using. It turns out that it is maple instead of oak. Is it safe to use with chickens? I am working on the build thread.

I think so. I can't seem to find anything that says it's not.

Maple is one of the woods used to make bowls, spoons, cutting boards, and other utensils for human use so it's certainly fine for chickens.
