From what I have read emu are more intelligent and friendly. Can grow up to 1.75 meters tall which is more than 5 feet.
Rheas are known to live more than 20 years in wild.

Yes, Rhea are more aggressive but stay smaller. Breeding season shows the most aggression from them.
