Are Serama Roosters rare?

hi, I own a Serama Rooster and I am just wondering if they are at all rare, and how much you would sell them for? Considering them to be known as the smallest breed in the world weighing 500g, and only 15-25 centimeters

Seramas as a breed are semi-rare in the US..
Price depends on quality.. They can be sold from $5-$150

@Qchipman, Craigslist is a good place to sell a chicken, (if your Serama is more in the $5 range then in the $150) You can also sell a chicken on BYC!

A lot of OEG bantam mixes get called Serama and sold for more money, Real Searamas are not all that common.

I currently have four Serama cockerels that I'm going to need to rehome. Just have to pick which four. I don't anticipate getting much money for them, if any.

Last year Seramas took a while to find on Craigslist but they were far from Rare, this year they are one of the more plentiful chickens on Craigslist in my area. Ads went form "wanted Seramas" to "Seramas $15 Roosters and $50 Pairs". As soon as I start breeding something, it becomes common... Might be why I sell plants for a living and just raise chickens for making compost.
