I have a 1/2 yard and am surrounded by close neighbors. I just rehomed my roo today which has given much relief to everyone. It's so quiet now!
Too quiet!

Thinking about getting sheep and or goats. Are they stinky? Are they noisy? Thanks for any replies in advance.

Honestly, my does smell pleasant,..hayish,..my dogs smell wuff, my goats,..not so much :),....of course that was until,...well.... and then we got a buck,..bucks now a whole different story,...gamey, odorifous, musk and to be real honest I shouldn't admit it,..but I actually don't find the bucks smell offensive at all. But I am aware now when I pat him,..make sure you wash your hands before going to work

My goats aren't as smelly as my chickens. I really love the goats. Pygmy goats can be milked but they are more meat goats. If you want a small milking goat, I would go for Nigerians or mini Nubians. They are small and are good milkers. I am getting my first Mini Nubian next Sunday. I can't wait. I will be breeding him to my Nubians for Mini Nubians.

and by the by,..neighbors breathed a sigh of relief when they see the roo gone..and now come goats,..oh yours will love you like mine

I have a pygmy and two nigerians and yes you can milk them, and they are just so sweet!

They don't stink unless you don't properly take care of them. Bucks, on the other hand, (male goats) get REALLY nasty though. . .
