I am trying my hand at hatching shipped eggs for the first time. My first batch went into lock down last night and I just received my second batch to try afterwards. I don't expect 100% hatch rate but I had a number of babies wiggling around during my last check.
It's definitely more of a risk than buying pullets at the feed store, certainly. But it's awful fun and of you can't find the breed you want locally it's worth a shot. But I can't stomach the price of some of the eggs. I know they're priced that way for a reason but ouch.
