Hi! I had originally posted about my daughters silkie chicks that were shipped to us last week.. Got 7, 5 out of the 7 were DOA, and one is crippled. Well about 5am this morning the one that was healthy and thriving died! I have no idea why? Yesterday he was eating and drinking, but seemed to nap alot. I just chalked it up to being a 1 week old chick. I don't know what to think about this. I am new to silkies, I've had LOTS of chicks, and have never lot one, until we got these guys. Anyone have any insight of advise for caring for these babies? Oh, and I have ACV, Poly~vi~sol without iron, sugar and warm water as their drinking water....

Nope, I have never had problems with my silkies dying or anything like that. First, are you mixing all of those things in their water? All the silkies need is just plain water. SInce they were shipped you can add some vitamins and electrolyes to their water for the first couple days.
