Are Silkies supposed to have curved nails? (oddly curved nails)

One of my Silkie Bantams has two curved nails, curving around.

Is this normal?

Edit: I have discovered that all my other Silkies have at least 1 curved nail. Is this ok for them?

My silkies don't scratch the dirt as much as the other breeds. Scratching wears down the nails to keep them in shape.
I trim the ones that get too long as it gets painful to walk on them.
Just take off a tiny bit at a time, every few days. It gives the quick a chance to recede so that there is no blood.

Another good tip on trimming nails.....

If you happen to get blood and do not have Quick Stop on hand, use a bar of soap. Just take the bar and bury the nail in it for a half-minute or so.
Only bar soap works, not liquid.

That looks like a rams horn..

Mine are kinda funny shaped. They havent gotten that long yet though

I think its only natural for nails to twist like that..ours does it if they get long enough.

That'll work, as long as they are fairly sharp. You don't want to crack or crush the nail. Tiny bits at a time.
