Are some breeds really noisier than others?

Loud in my flock = Rhode Island Reds, Black Sexlinks (one hen makes a crazy loud "yell") and Khaki Campbell ducks

Half loud half quiet = Production reds/red stars/red sexlinks

Quiet = silkies, white legorn

Well, my little white silkie roo was quiet yesterday. But this morning I was out around 7:00 and he started crowing and crowing and crowing! OMG! If he does that every morning, I'll have to get rid of him I guess.

Try the no crow collar? Its a Velcro collar that usually lowers the volume of the crows

Yeah I looked into those back when I was afraid one of my GLWs was a roo. Might just have to do that. I don't want to get rid of him. I'd have to find someone who'd take him and his girl. Don't want to separate them. She'd be devastated.
