Are Sumatras really that hard to raise?

I don't find them hard at all to raise, we have Black, Blue and Whites we are still working on the Whites to get them prefect.

ours were pretty good, just keep in mind they can FLY. not just the controlled plummet of a orpington but full on fly. the stags (males) can be aggressive but ours got along well with the other roos.

I've never had any problems with mine hatching...they are pretty much the most fertile eggs I get because I don't have to trim their cushions!
