Are there any dog breeds that AREN'T going to want to kill chickens?

I have two small Yorkies. Five pounds. One wants to tear the chickens up. The other just goes up to them and wags his little tail. The older one that wants to eat them had his waterloo yesterday. He took on a little batam Amerucana rooster and the little rooster put the spurs to him. It really messed him his mind up and he backed off. I think it is just the dogs disposition.

Border Collies are super smart and love to work. I would think any kind of shepherd or collie would be great with chickens..as they are typically good with livestock.

We had a Britney Spainel at one time- I DO NOT recommend them. Ours killed my chickens...repeatedly. I think you would have a hard time training any kind of hunting dog not to kill them. For awhile they might seem okay- but once they start killing you won't be able to stop them. They get that taste for blood and its addictive.

I have 2 yorkies and a mini dachaund.. The yorkies will chase after them but has never done it in an aggresive way. Kinda chase the chicken till the chicken turns around and starts chasing after the dog and the dog runs away. My dauchand just completly ignores them. But I never leave them together if I'm not in the back yard keeping an eye on them!!
