I have been researching very hardy and self sufficient breeds but I live in
a surburban setting and though I could get away with a dozen or more chickens,
my neighbors would not tolerate roosters making a big racket early in the
morning. I know that some ducks cannot quack, so are there any chicken breeds
where the roosters do not crow in the morning ? Like dogs, some bark a lot
and some breeds are very quiet.
