How many hens do you have? Once they get older the roosters will fight to the death unless you have 60+ hens for these 4 and that older roo. I learned that the hard way.

Keep them far quarantined from your existing birds and try to get them back to the seller. If they won't take them, I would cull/eat them.

My slight social anxiety wanting to leave immediately instead of sitting in my car inspecting the chickens on someone's driveway has taught me that sitting there and inspecting is way worth it in comparison to the drive back and forth. Also, asking the seller how they gender their birds is important in making that time inspecting more needed or not. Checking for mite infestations and bumble is still something you want to do before going home!

Its funny because my husband said something about them being roosters and the seller said no they are Hens from tractor supply then my husband said if they turn out to be roosters can be trade them and the seller just laughed

That sucks! I've had two trade with me. (Out of four times buying before, all from different people)

One was traded based on my pure anxiety. I'm almost entirely sure I was given a hen. This was after I got a rooster from a lady who I believe really did think it was a female, but I didn't know any better at the time that it was a roo. Sadly, we could not keep him and he now rests under a fig tree. The other was 1.5 months later. I pointed it out coming in spiked saddles after inspecting in my car and they let me choose another myself.
That's to say, if I plan on growing my flock, I have been taking notes of who I appreciate buying from the most. I also ask for details on heritage if they can provide it.
