These guys are two of four silkies that I've managed to breed myself.

I am unsure of who their mothers are....The father I know is a black bearded silkie (at least I think he's black, I can provide pics). The mothers are either a white non bearded or a black bearded silkie (or possibly a polish, which I doubt, I only suspect one chick to be half polish and it's not either of those two). Oh, and they are exactly 8 weeks old on Friday.

Can somebody tell me wether they are blues or splashes?

I was also wondering what the chances are of any of these guys being non beardeds since the father was bearded and only one mother wasn't. There is only one chick so far (the one I suspect may be half polish) that is sprouting a beard...The rest, it's too soon to tell.

I agree they look nonbearded and they do look blue as well.

The mommy was the white non-bearded- those are blue and not bearded. A white chicken is not really white-it's another color that's been blocked out.

PC, that chick looks black to me...

Countryroad-looks non-bearded to me!

Hi! What a cutie! It does look blue and clean faced to me, too.
Maybe one of your blacks is really a dark blue?

That's very much a possibility

I'll provide some pics and you can tell me lol

Here's the "black" bearded mommy (or, potential mommy I should say)

Here's a group pic with black daddy in front, white non bearded mommy, black bearded mommy and my oddball polish which may also be a mommy

And here are the other two chicks....This one is Geo and he's already sprouted a beard (although i'm not sure if you can tell in that pic, I haven't looked that closely). Geo is the one I suspect may be half polish...He has absolutely no comb, white spots on his feet and a single white feather. Then again, the feathers are silkie, so I really don't know for sure. The lack of a comb seems really odd to me.
