We got 6 baby chicks on Wednesday and they were part of the rainbow pack. I have 4 of them pretty well figured out, but I can't figure out 2. They are both chipmunk patterned, but one is much lighter than the other. I think they might both be easter eggers. The 2nd one has some cheek puffs starting. Any help would be appreciated

They both appear to be , my avatar is the rooster, moms are Rhode Island Reds or second Generation EE's and one black olive egger and I get quite a varying but always the chipmunk pattern, I have noticed the darker ones are usually cockerels though have yet to have a darker one be a pullet. This is purely observations from my flock but something we can keep an eye on statistic wise

I don't know about your two for sure, especially not without seeing legs, but in my experience with my chipmunks, I had three that I thought were possibly EE's (not knowing about leg color at the time) with white-pink legs who turned out to be Speckled Sussex (One of which is in my avatar) and later got two more chipmunks that actually are EE's who had green colored legs and puffy cheeks. Have no idea what they come from and they look vastly different from each other now. Lol. It's fun to watch them change as they get big!

A lot depends on the crosses you do to get an EE I think on leg colors, In a straight hatch I get some with yellow and some with the green legs

See, that's what I thought. It's a roll of the dice. Lol. I can't tell what mine are made from. At all. They were adorable as babies and are beautiful as pullets.

it always is when it's not a breed but a cross to get them, to get an EE one of the pair has to be a blue egg layer breed, so you can actually get EE's that don't have the cute little muffs too. I am waiting to see how my 2 new Ameraucana or EE pullets turns out, they were sold as Ameraucanas and have the greenish colored legs, when they mature, one is brown with black and the other looks whitish with maybe a tinge of blue
