I am trying to figure out if our chicks are boys or girls? I have the names on the pics to show what feet and head goes together. Ricochet is doing the chest bumps like a football player so is Kimber.

Thank you. I have read that silkie boys have walnut shaped combs. We can't have roosters. That's why I'm asking. I don't know when they would start crowing if they are boys and I don't want there to be an issue. They are so cute! No idea on genders, though Ricochet & Kimber look like silkies...big combs too. Adorable!
When do you think we would he able to tell? Sorry I know stupid question. But we are new to all of this.Kimber and Ricochet look like cockerels. They seem a bit young to sex. Age?
Not a atupid question at all. Silkies may take up to 12-14 weeks. @LadiesAndJane can help you more with that breed. As for the others, we really only needs pics of faces that show combs and wattles for a gender ID. We recommend 6 weeks minimum for that. When do you think we would he able to tell? Here is a great guide for taking pics for a breed and gender ID. Some good info in there as well.

Agreed. They are both boys. Large raised combs in birds that appear to be quite young still.Kimber and Ricochet look like cockerels. They seem a bit young to sex. Age?
