Both of these chickens are 54 days old today.

This is Linda, but I'm afraid LindA might be a LindO. Linda is a cochin mix of some sort.

This is Cottonball. S/he was accidentally given to me in my purchase of cochins, and I learned that s/he is actually an old English bantam mix. Cottonball is half the size of my LF cochins.

Linda might be a pullet. Not sure though, wait on this one before rehoming.

All my females, but 1 have gotten red combs and some had wattles around 8 weeks and stayed that way. I'm not quite sure why.

Some people are telling me that cochin roosters tend to be docile and don't fight each other. Other people tell me any rooster could turn at any minute and attack anyone or anything.

I love my roos already :( they're more friendly than the hens so far.. I have one that rides on my shoulder and they love their wattles stroked!!

I'll definitely have to get more hens though.. but what do you guys think, could 5 cochin roos live together peacefully if I have enough women to go around?

but will I have enough room to house them?

The coop is an 8x6ft shed I transformed and the run is 20x20ft.

since they're still so little I don't let them free range yet but I will when they get older

Yes, I think both LindO & Cottonball are Males. The comb is reddish & that is a pretty good sign. In the middle picture is a gold
chicken that looks to be a hen. I can't see her real good, but the comb looks to be small. She is underneath LindO ( . . )'s I have
19 Bantam chicks that are 4 wks & 3 days old. On most, it is a ? as to which are M or F. I have 6 Barred Rock Bantams & they
are either 5 males & 1 hen or ???? They are not real dainty & 1 I call Bigfoot ! Your Lindo is a beautiful coloring !
