Are these eggs fertile?

I agree with the others. Those eggs are fertile. Glad you were able to find out which one is your male. Good luck and have fun...

My silkie has just started laying and I noticed that the eggs are potentially fertile ones; I didn't even know I had a rooster! :lau All of my silkies are 5 months old today, I haven't heard any crowing either. I have a silver laced Wyandotte who I suspect is a roo, but it's only 2 1/2 months old so nowhere near working yet. Anyway, would love to hear your thoughts on the fertility of these eggs!
That is so funny😄 that you did not know you had a rooster. I got my chickens 3-6-20 I bought 23 of them and I don't know if they are female or male . I am hoping they are hens and 1 or 2 are male, but I don't know? Do u know how to tell? Please write back.

You live in Australia that's so cool I live in the United States.:thumbsup

I've attached some pics of my little flock for you (I even put numbers on the photos for easy identification lol)! My layer is number 3, and both of the other two silkies have the little spur nubs. 1's tail is usually standing straight up during the day, but because I took the photos shortly after they were going to bed I think it was a bit miffed at me lol. I did catch 3 with a bunch of 1's feathers sticking out of her tail this afternoon though haha. I think it just a bumpy spot but if it gets grows I would get it checked out. But I think it will be okay.:thumbsup

YESS THEY ARE LOOK ON THE TOP EGG THERE IS A LIGHT BRIGHT YELLOW RING/SPOT ON THE YOLK THAT MEANS IT IS FERTIL BUT DON'T WORRY THEY ARE PERFECTLY FINE TO EAT WE HAVE EATEN SOME FROM OUR CHICKENS. :jumpy :jumpy :jumpy :jumpy :jumpy :jumpy :jumpy 🐣

I THINK 3 IS THE ROOSTER AND BOTH ARE FERTIL AND I'VE HAD YEARS OF EXPERIENSE WITH CHICKENS AND THE SILKIE!

Wouldn't know sorry, especially without pics! I was told for the silkies to wait for an egg or a crow, lucky me that my rooster has kept his identity secret by refusing to crow 😂

:welcome :frow Post some pictures of your chicks and many may be able to help to tell which ones may be females and any that may be males. Good luck and have fun...

Update: all of them are hens apparently. No. 2 laid an egg this morning, which has me really scratching my head over this. I suppose it could be my wyandotte? I know that there aren't any stray roosters coming around as we live in a semi built up area. This chook is 13 weeks old now which I thought would have been too young to be working. It's also funny that I've seen my silkie try and mount the others only to turn out to be a girl 😂
